The Zhitong Finance App learned that on September 16, the three major A-share indices opened low and moved higher. The red market fluctuated in the afternoon, and collectively closed higher. The Shanghai Stock Exchange closed at 3891.60 points, up 0.71%; the Shenzhen Securities Index closed at 13454.74 points, up 1.26%; the GEM index closed at 3311.47 points, up 1.96%; the Science and Technology Innovation 50 closed at 1616.19 points, up 4.14%; and the Beijing Stock Exchange 50 closed at 1040.29 points, up 1.15%. The turnover of the Shanghai and Shenzhen markets was 1839.122 billion yuan, an increase of 226.405 billion yuan over the previous trading day.

4,170 A-shares in the Shanghai and Shenzhen markets rose, 1,189 fell, and 205 were flat. 91 stocks rose and stopped by 91 and 4, accounting for more than 70% of the rising stocks. In terms of sectors, communications equipment, semiconductors, electronic chemicals, precious metals, non-metallic materials, and optical optoelectronics registered the highest gains; construction machinery, aquaculture, airports, insurance, liquor, banks, shipping ports, and automobiles registered the highest declines.

The driving factors of the day were concentrated on the two main lines of the semiconductor industry chain and computing power hardware. Shenwan Communications Equipment and Semiconductor Industry Indices rose 5.18% and 4.44% respectively, while Science Innovation 50 closed up 4.14%.

According to the news, the CITIC Securities Research Report predicts that the scarce prices of heavily doped silicon wafers are expected to continue to rise in the second half of the year; the 27th China International Optoelectronic Expo (CIOE 2026) will be held in Shenzhen from September 9 to 11, and CICC released a research report on September 16 saying that “lock order” and “lock materials” became the key words of the exhibition research. The order schedule for some high-speed optical chip companies has been extended to 2028 and beyond, and the visibility of optical module orders will cover 2027 and beyond; Goldman Sachs released a report on September 7, 2026 Global optical module market space forecast for the year to 2028.

On the policy side, the “Opinions on Promoting High-Quality Development of Historic Classic Industries” jointly issued by six departments including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on September 7 included traditional specialty industries such as brewing into the support framework. The rice wine concept rose 7.65% on the same day, ranking first in the conceptual sector. The turnover of the Shanghai and Shenzhen markets on the same day increased by 226.405 billion yuan compared to the previous trading day, but sectors such as banking, insurance, automotive, and construction machinery closed down.

1. Semiconductors: The semiconductor industry chain has strengthened across the board, leading in the direction of silicon wafers, silicon carbide, and equipment. Youyan Silicon went up and down 20CM; Jingsheng shares rose and stopped 20CM; Youyan Xincai, Leon Micro, and Zhongjing Technology rose and stopped; Tianyue Advanced rose more than 11%. 2. Computing power hardware: a collective increase in the direction of CPO, optical communication, and optical fiber. Zhishang Technology and Welco went up and down 20CM; Guangxun Technology, Yongding Co., Ltd., Huamai Technology, and Qingshan Paper rose or stopped; Dongtian rose slightly by more than 14%; and Changxin Bochuang rose more than 12%. After research at the 27th China International Optoelectronics Fair, CICC pointed out that the order schedule for some high-speed optical chip companies has been extended to 2028 and beyond, and the visibility of optical module orders covers 2027 and beyond.

3. Rice wine: The rice wine concept index rose 7.65%, ranking first in the concept sector's increase of the day. Huiji Mountain went up and down for 2 consecutive days, and the Guyue Longshan and Jinfeng liquor industries went up and down. The “Opinions on Promoting the High-Quality Development of the Classic Historical Industry” jointly issued by six departments including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on September 7 included the brewing belonging to rice wine within the scope of historical classic industries; the Huatai Securities Research Report believes that the volume and price logic of the rice wine industry is expected to usher in a restructuring.

The construction machinery sector in the adjustment sector had the highest decline on the same day.
