More than 120 people from relevant parties and party groups from both sides of the Strait, experts and scholars, and Taiwanese youth representatives participated in the event. Song Tao, director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the CPC Central Committee and the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech, calling on compatriots on both sides of the Strait to work unswervingly for the cause of unification, persevere and work together for common welfare, and continue to work for national rejuvenation and unity. The participants had in-depth exchanges and discussions on the themes of peaceful development, homeland protection, unity and struggle, and common revival, and formed five important agreements, reflecting the common voice of compatriots on both sides of the Strait to work together to promote the reunification of the motherland and create a better future for national rejuvenation.
