New Zealand Trade Minister Todd McRae said in an email statement that the New Zealand government welcomed the passage of India's Free Trade Agreement Act today. He said that the 93 votes in favor and 29 against “clearly reflect Parliament's strong support for this free trade agreement and its impressive economic dividends.” The free trade agreement will officially enter into force after the two parties have completed their respective domestic approval procedures.
