According to news, Nokia recently announced that Spain's largest Internet Exchange Center (IXP) EspaniX has officially selected and deployed Nokia's AI-driven DeepField Defender cybersecurity solution to fully protect its exchange platform and internet network from distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks.

According to reports, as the core hub of Internet traffic in Spain, eSpaniX's six major data centers in Madrid and Barcelona are connected to more than 200 domestic and international networks, covering the vast majority of end users in the country. By deploying Nokia Deepfield Defender, ePanix can identify and eliminate malicious oversized traffic and application-layer DDoS attacks within seconds, ensure that legitimate data flows are not affected, and directly mitigate risks at the network entry point. The protection mechanism is entirely completed locally in Spain and within EspaniX's own network. There is no need to redirect traffic to a third-party traffic cleaning center abroad, effectively guarantees the security sovereignty of Spanish local data, and is highly in line with the latest European regulatory expectations.

The person in charge of Nokia's cybersecurity business said that an Internet exchange center is a top priority for critical infrastructure. Deepfield Defender combines Nokia's proprietary Secure Genome cloud-based network intelligence with AI big data analysis to directly automate defense at the network layer.
