05:00 AM EDT, 09/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- BHP Group (BHP.L, BHG.JO) workers at its Port Hedland facility in Australia will seek an intractable bargaining declaration from the Fair Work Commission to set the terms of a new wage deal, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing the Combined BHP Ports Unions. The union, which represents about 450 operators and maintenance workers at the site, has been negotiating with BHP for more than nine months on a proposed four-year agreement, with recent talks facilitated by the regulator, the report said. BHP did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires. (Market Chatter news is derived from conversations with market professionals globally.
