In response to Europe's changed security situation and aggressive Russia, the German government promised to send a combat force based in Lithuania. According to the plan, the “Lithuanian Brigade” will be completed in 2027. 4,800 military and 200 civilian personnel will be stationed in Lithuania. Rudninkai and Lukla of Lithuania are building military camps for the brigade.
