The reporter learned today that the General Administration of Market Regulation has recently approved the release of five national standardization guiding technical documents in the field of brain-like computing and optoelectronic computing, including the “Reference Framework for Brain-like Computing” and “Optoelectronic Computing Optical Matrix Computing System Design Guidelines”, which mark important progress in China's future standardization layout of computation. The performance and energy efficiency bottlenecks of traditional computing architectures are becoming more and more prominent. Brain-like and optoelectronic computing, as key directions in the next-generation computing paradigm, have ushered in opportunities for policy and industry superposition, but technology routes are still in the stages of diversified exploration, and there is an urgent need to unify technical discourse systems and evaluation standards. To this end, the National Intelligent Computing Standardization Working Group organizes industry-university-research collaboration to promote the formulation of a series of guiding technical documents to support the iterative and large-scale application of cutting-edge technology.
