On September 15, Fu Linghui, press spokesman of the National Bureau of Statistics, chief economist, and director of the National Economic Comprehensive Statistics Department, said at the press conference of the State Information Office that judging from the main indicators for August, it mainly shows the characteristics of “three stable and two fast”. In the “Three Stabilities”, the first is stable production. In August, industrial value added and the industrial production index maintained steady growth. Second, employment is stable, and the employment situation of the main employed people is the same as last month and the same period last year. Furthermore, prices are stable. Consumer prices rose 0.8% year on year in August, and ex-factory prices for industrial producers rose 3.8%. From an international perspective, prices remained stable. “Two fast” means rapid growth in emerging industries and rapid growth in imports and exports. On the one hand, the value added of the high-tech manufacturing industry and the digital product manufacturing industry increased by 16.7% and 15.7%, respectively, in August. According to estimates, new kinetic energy contributed more than 60% to large-scale industries in the same month, and it continues to increase. The production index of the information transmission, software and information technology services increased by 9.6%, and contributed more than 20% to the service industry production index. Meanwhile, in August, the total import and export volume of goods increased 19.8% year-on-year. In terms of exports, exports of green products such as new energy vehicles and lithium batteries are growing rapidly, which has strongly promoted the green transformation and development of global energy. In terms of imports, China's imports from developing countries such as ASEAN, Africa, and Latin America have increased dramatically, providing new opportunities for developing countries' industrial development. Fu Linghui said that overall, although there are many instability and uncertainties, China's economy has overcome difficulties, maintained smooth operation, and accumulated new momentum, showing strong resilience and vitality, and has become an important growth pole and stable anchor for global development.
