On September 15, the National Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Commission and the Ministry of Emergency Management initiated a four-level national emergency response for natural disaster relief in response to the serious disaster caused by recent heavy rainfall in Hainan, dispatched a task force to urgently visit the disaster area to check the disaster situation, and guide and assist local authorities in disaster relief work such as disaster verification, mass relocation and resettlement, and basic livelihood security.
