Those following along with PVH Corp. (NYSE:PVH) will no doubt be intrigued by the recent purchase of shares by Stefan Larsson, CEO & Director of the company, who spent a stonking US$1.0m on stock at an average price of US$70.53. There's no denying a buy of that magnitude suggests conviction in a brighter future, although we do note that proportionally it only increased their holding by 7.8%.

PVH Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

In fact, the recent purchase by Stefan Larsson was the biggest purchase of PVH shares made by an insider individual in the last twelve months, according to our records. So it's clear an insider wanted to buy, at around the current price, which is US$70.64. That means they have been optimistic about the company in the past, though they may have changed their mind. While we always like to see insider buying, it's less meaningful if the purchases were made at much lower prices, as the opportunity they saw may have passed. In this case we're pleased to report that the insider bought shares at close to current prices. Stefan Larsson was the only individual insider to buy during the last year.
