Lexington Gold Seeks JORC Exploration Target Status for Kroonstad Project in South Africa

05:57 AM EDT, 09/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Lexington Gold (LEX.L) aims to advance a certain part of the existing estimate at its Kroonstad project in South Africa to JORC (2012) Exploration Target status in the fourth quarter. The mining company plans to upgrade the project's independent non-code-compliant grade-tonnage estimate to 62.41 million ounces of gold from 6.06 million ounces, at grades of 4.96 grams per tonne to 11.54 g/t, according to a Monday filing. Lexington added that data capture, verification, quality assurance and control, and geological correlation work are underway in preparation for the 3D geological and structural modeling.
