Democratic minority leader Hakeem Jeffries in the US House of Representatives said on Sunday that if the Democratic Party recaptures the House of Representatives in November, he has not ruled out the possibility of pushing for an impeachment process against Trump. The New York Democrat pointed out that if the Democratic Party becomes the majority party in January next year, Jamie Ruskin and Robert Garcia, current Democratic chief members of the House Judiciary Committee and Supervisory Committee, will each chair these two committees and take the lead in holding the Trump administration accountable. As for the Democratic Party's other priorities if the Democratic Party wins a majority in November, Jeffries focused on three items: first, abolish the tariffs imposed by Trump on foreign trade partners; second, force Trump to end the war with Iran, which has been going on for more than six months; and third, restoring the Affordable Care Act subsidies that expired at the beginning of this year.
