GSK's Relapsed Small Cell Lung Cancer Therapy Meets Primary Endpoint in Late-stage Study

02:38 AM EDT, 09/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- GSK's (GSK.L) licensor Hansoh Pharmaceutical Group outlined positive results from the late-stage study of its antibody-drug conjugate risvutatug rezetecan, or Ris-Rez, in patients with relapsed small cell lung cancer. The phase 3 ARTEMIS-008 trial, conducted in China, met its primary endpoint with the drug candidate reducing the risk of death by 54%, compared with topotecan, according to a Monday filing by the British drugmaker. Patients receiving Ris-Rez lived a median of 18.5 months, compared with 10.3 months for the patients receiving topotecan. The candidate's safety profile was also better than topoteca, with patients showing fewer severe treatment-related side effects.
