According to the Financial Times, Esa Group has agreed to acquire the British SGN retail company. This deal will double the size of its gas station network. The deal comes at a time when ESA Group is advancing its expansion plans. The goal is to expand the gas station network to 800 by 2031. Esa Group said that after reaching the 2031 target, the company will occupy about 9% of the market share in the UK. Arwan Ruya, CEO of Esa's fuel retail business, said that these sites will supply oil products from the Esastanlo refinery, and the group believes this move can provide more competitive retail gas station fuel prices. ESA Group declined to comment on SGN's valuation.
