From September 7 to 9, Li Zhen, deputy director of the State Council's State-owned Assets Administration Commission, visited Hong Kong to attend events such as the 11th “Belt and Road” Summit Forum. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 11th “Belt and Road” Summit Forum, Li Zhen said that the “Belt and Road” initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping has become the broadest and largest international cooperation platform in the world. Central enterprises have participated in the construction of major infrastructure such as energy, transportation, and digital across five continents, and a large number of “small but beautiful” projects have been implemented, directly driving employment for more than one million people in the host country. State-owned central enterprises are willing to join hands with all sectors in Hong Kong to co-build the country to coordinate the connectivity of facilities, industrial integration and smooth flow of elements, form long-term partnerships with governments, enterprises, sovereign funds, etc. of various countries, make good use of Hong Kong's unique advantages in international capital markets, professional services, scientific and technological innovation, cultural exchanges, etc., and jointly write a new chapter in high-quality joint construction of the “Belt and Road”. Prior to the event, Lee Chun held discussions with senior comrades from 43 central enterprises and the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Li Jiachao. The two sides exchanged views on deepening cooperation between state-owned central enterprises and various sectors in Hong Kong and supporting Hong Kong to maintain long-term prosperity and stability. While in Hong Kong, Li Zhen also attended the 3rd GTI Digital Intelligence Xiangjiang International Forum and visited central enterprises to investigate projects in Hong Kong. Responsible comrades from relevant departments and bureaus of the State Council's State-owned Assets Administration Commission participated in the above activities.
