Whoever can take the lead in the closed loop of reusable transportation, large-scale networking, and integrated operation can take the lead in the trillion-level space economy. The number of global space launches increased significantly. In the first half of 2026, 154 global space launches were completed, and a total of 2,330 satellites were launched into scheduled orbits. Among them, China Aerospace completed 44 launches, an increase of 25.7% over the same period in 2025. Commercial space has become a major component of the world's space industry. In the first half of the year, China completed 30 commercial launches, accounting for 68.2% of all launch missions. Of the satellites in orbit during the same period, the number of commercial satellites reached 206, accounting for about 92.4% of all satellites in orbit.
