Driven by the boom in artificial intelligence, the memory chip market is in a supercycle, but SK Hynix's DRAM market share is actually declining. This is not due to poor sales of its DRAM products, but to the excessive share of high-bandwidth memory in its product portfolio and differences in production from Samsung Electronics. According to data released by market research agency TrendForce on the 14th, SK Hynix's DRAM revenue for the second quarter increased 37.9% month-on-month to US$38.59 billion. However, its market share declined 3.9 percentage points from 28.8% to 24.9%. Samsung Electronics topped the list with a market share of 39.4%, while Micron Technology reduced the gap with SK Hynix to 1.6 percentage points, with a market share of 23.3%.
