On September 13, at the Pujiang Innovation Forum - Space Computing Industry Ecology Forum, Weng Qiwen, director of the SME Development Promotion Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that at present, the Space Computing Service Special Committee of the China Small and Medium Enterprises International Cooperation Association has initially gathered a number of innovative market players covering the space computing power industry chain. Upstream, a group of companies focusing on hardware research and development such as radiation-resistant chips, high computing power modules, and special aerospace components; in the midstream, a number of supporting enterprises deeply involved in the field of satellite platforms, development of aerospace energy materials, and layout of interstellar/space-terrestrial high-speed communication; downstream, a number of platforms and application service providers engaged in R&D, operation and maintenance support, and industry product implementation have been absorbed. On July 18, 2026, initiated by the SME Development Promotion Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Space Computing Service Professional Committee of the China SME International Cooperation Association was formally established during the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference.
