Established in 2015, the New Development Bank has so far supported more than 120 projects involving more than 40 billion US dollars, providing strong support for the development of the BRICS countries. Fu Xin, a former special economic adviser to the Brazilian President, currently serves as a senior adviser to the BRICS New Development Bank President. He believes that as an important financial institution jointly established by the BRICS countries, the New Development Bank has effectively filled infrastructure financing gaps in various countries, helped energy transition, climate action and digital development, promoted countries to share development experiences and learn from each other, and provided a new development path for the BRICS countries.
