The reporter learned today from the South-to-North Water Transfer Group that the first phase of the Hanjiwei Diversion Project has supplied more than 450 million cubic meters of water to Xi'an. The project ranged from water diversion in the Han River basin to the Weihe River basin. The first phase of the water diversion project was completed in 2023. Since the opening of water, the project has played a critical supporting role in optimizing the spatial allocation of water resources in Shaanxi. At present, the entire North Main Line of the second phase of the project has been completed and water testing has officially started. Construction of the South Main Line is being carried out quickly; construction of the third phase of the project is expected to begin by the end of the year.
