US prediction market platform Kalshi received approval from the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission this week to launch perpetual futures linked to gold and silver prices in the US. This is the first time it has been approved to launch non-cryptocurrency perpetual futures. The relevant deal was officially launched on the Kalshi platform this Thursday. At the end of May this year, Kalshi was first approved to launch perpetual futures linked to cryptocurrencies, introducing this product type with an annual global trading volume of about 90 trillion US dollars in 2025 to the US market for the first time. According to Kalshi's official website, since the launch of the relevant contract, its nominal trading volume has reached 44 billion US dollars.
