According to Turkey's Anadolu News Agency, an official confirmed that a freighter carrying about 82,000 metric tons of liquefied natural gas from Qatar reached Pakistan via the nearly closed Strait of Hormuz. The port's spokesman, Asad Altaf, said the freighter named “Al Marrouna” was carrying liquefied natural gas from Qatar's Ras Laffan, passed through the Strait of Hormuz on Monday and docked at Qassim Port in Karachi, the country's commercial center, on Thursday morning. This is the first shipment of liquefied natural gas from Qatar to Pakistan via the Strait of Hormuz since July.
