Simbaum said at the presidential office's regular press conference that the US will hold midterm congressional elections in November, “Don't use Mexico in election campaigns.” Mexico is not involved in the US election process, and “they should not be involved in Mexico either.” Simbaum stressed that the US should solve its own drug consumption problem and curb arms trafficking to Mexico.
