The Zhitong Finance App learned that on Thursday, SpaceX (SPCX.US) bucked the trend and rose more than 4%, rising 42% since the August low, and is now reported at $153.99. Recently, SpaceX's stock price has been fluctuating in a narrow range, but with the Nasdaq 100 index making quarterly adjustments later this month, a new wave of buying is likely to arrive soon. NASDAQ is expected to announce the results of the position adjustment after the US stock market closes this Friday, which will take effect on September 21.

Due to restrictions during the lockdown period, SpaceX currently has a relatively low share ratio of freely tradable shares, so its weight in the Nasdaq 100 index is only 1.25%, ranking 19th. Min Moon, a strategist at J.P. Morgan Securities, and his team estimate that SpaceX's weight in the NASDAQ 100 index may rise to 1.51% after the position adjustment, which will cause index funds and ETFs tracking the index to net purchases of SpaceX shares of about $12.4 billion.
