The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia issued a statement on the 10th strongly condemning recent remarks made by Israeli government officials about forcing Palestinians to leave the Gaza Strip, as well as Israel's systematic acts of violence against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank. The statement said that Malaysia resolutely opposes any attempt to force Palestinians to leave their homes or relocate them to other regions. The wanton killing, intimidation, destruction of Palestinian property and forced evictions by Israeli settlers is a serious violation of international law and international humanitarian law. The statement stressed that the Gaza Strip is an inalienable part of the Occupied Palestinian Territory and opposes any change in the population and territorial structure of Gaza. Malaysia strongly supports the Palestinian people in establishing an independent Palestinian State based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
