Genus Posts Surge in FY26 Attributable Profit; Revenue Declines

02:33 AM EDT, 09/10/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Genus (GNS.L) said Thursday its attributable profit for fiscal 2026 climbed, while revenue dropped year over year. Profit attributable to owners of the company for the 12 months ended June 30 was 285.3 million pounds sterling, compared with 19.3 million pounds earlier. EPS moved to 4.251 pounds from 0.289 pound. The animal genetics company's revenue was 658.1 million pounds, compared with 672.8 million pounds a year ago. The board proposed a final dividend for the year of 0.24 pound per share, compared with 0.217 pound per share. The dividend is payable on Dec. 4 to shareholders on record Nov. 13. This takes the total dividend for the year to 0.352 pound per share, up from 0.32 pound per share in the previous year. For fiscal 2027, Genus expects adjusted pretax profit in constant currency to be moderately higher than the normalised adjusted pretax profit of 90.3 million pounds a year earlier, in line with consensus expectations.
