US Treasury Secretary Bezent: In July of this year, I called on the Senate to move forward with the Clarity Act. The bill aims to establish a complete regulatory framework for digital assets and enhance our ability to prevent criminals from using these critical technologies. After the Senate adjourned in August, I strongly urged all parties to continue to participate in negotiations, agree to launch a motion to review the bill, and advance the legislative process. Otherwise, it would send an unsettling signal to our allies and opponents: the US is unwilling to play a leading role in the future of digital assets, and is willing to abandon measures to strengthen national security, and is unable to stop the misuse of digital assets.
