09:38 AM EDT, 09/08/2026 (MT Newswires) -- AstraZeneca's (AZN.L) Imfinzi, in combination with Amgen's (AMG.F) Imdelltra, improved overall survival in patients with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer, or ES-SCLC, in the DeLLphi-305 phase 3 trial. In the late-stage study, patients with ES-SCLC, who had not progressed following standard induction treatment with Imfinzi plus platinum chemotherapy and etoposide, showed "statistically significant and highly clinically meaningful improvement" in both overall and progression-free survival, following first-line maintenance treatment with the Imfinzi-Imdelltra combo therapy, versus Imfinzi alone, the pharmaceutical giant said Tuesday. AstraZeneca noted that the safety and tolerability profile of the combination treatment was consistent with previously known profiles of the individual treatments, with no new concerns identified.
