As for the total registered value of HK$4.818 billion during the month, a corresponding decrease of 16.8% over the previous month. Property registrations in the three major categories recorded an overall decline in August. Among them, industrial buildings recorded the biggest decline of more than 28%, while commercial buildings and stores fell slightly by 2.1% and 2.9% respectively.

In terms of commercial building sales, Huang Yingnian said that the number of registrations has been hovering at a high level of over 100 for 3 consecutive months. The number of registrations declined slightly in August, but it is still the second highest in 67 months (that is, more than 5 and a half years) since February 2021. In August of this year, 138 commercial building transactions were recorded, a slight decrease of 2.1% from 141 in July; while the total value of sales registrations during the month decreased by 19% to HK$2,520 billion, mainly due to the large share of commercial building registrations during the month.
In terms of store performance, Zheng Deming, senior sales director of Lijia Court (Commercial and Commercial) Real Estate - Retail, Commerce and Investment Department, pointed out that store sales registration has remained at the edge of 100 transactions in recent months, awaiting a breakthrough. According to the data, under the influence of many owners and buyers traveling abroad during the summer vacation, sales remained narrow. A total of 99 store sales registrations were recorded in August this year, a slight drop of 2.9% from the previous month, falling below the 100 level. Furthermore, during the month, the total value of store registrations dropped by 23.8%, falling below the HK$1 billion mark, and recorded only HK$981 million. This is the least number of high-profile registrations during the month.
