Zhitong Finance App learned that according to CINNO Research statistics, the global market shipped about 430 million AMOLED smartphone panels in the first half of 2026, an increase of 3.8% over the previous year, and the overall performance was better than expected. Although the smartphone terminal market is under pressure from weak demand, leading brands such as Apple and Samsung have maintained a steady pace of procurement with stable supply chain advantages and strong profit resilience, which has become an important support for driving shipment growth. At the same time, in the face of uncertainty in the subsequent market, some domestic panel manufacturers took the initiative to pre-release some future demand in order to maintain production line utilization rates and avoid potential cost increases, further boosting shipments in the first half of the year. Furthermore, against the backdrop of conservative consumer intentions and extended new phone switching cycles, demand in the mobile phone repair market has increased significantly, providing an additional increase in overall shipments.

By region, Chinese manufacturers accounted for 50.5% of the global AMOLED smartphone panel market in the first half of 2026. Although down 1.1 percentage points year on year, it remained above 50%; South Korea's share was 49.5%.

Looking at the market pattern, in the first half of 2026, Samsung Display (SDC) shipments in the global AMOLED smartphone panel market increased 6.5% year on year. The market share increased from 40.9% in the same period last year to 42.0%, up 1.1 percentage points year on year, and received dividends from the sales growth of its main customers Apple and Samsung mobile phone brands; BOE (BOE) shipments increased 16.0% year on year, ranking second in the world with a market share of 19.1%. On a quarterly basis, the global market shipped about 220 million AMOLED smartphone panels in the second quarter of 2026, up 8.4% year on year and 7.7% month on month, showing a year-on-year and month-on-month growth trend. Mainly due to adjustments in the procurement pace of terminal manufacturers: in the first quarter, due to rising costs of memory chips, etc., some mainstream brands actively tightened procurement to control inventory levels; entering the second quarter, as inventories returned to a healthy range, some panel manufacturers negotiated with brands to pre-release some procurement demand for the second half of the year in order to guarantee production line utilization, which combined with the recovery in terminal preparation intentions, which directly contributed to a significant recovery in shipment volume. However, pre-demand also meant that some third-quarter orders were digested ahead of schedule, and Q3 panel shipments are expected to face some month-on-month downward pressure.

By region, South Korea's share of the global AMOLED smartphone panel market in the second quarter of 2026 was 49.3%, up 1.9 percentage points year on year and down 0.4 percentage points from month to month; domestic manufacturers accounted for 50.7% of shipments, and their share stabilized at more than 50%.

Against the backdrop of pressure on terminal demand, BOE (BOE) maintained good growth resilience; (Visionox) shipments increased 10.3% year over year, with a sharp increase of 30.6% year over month, market share of 11.4%, up 0.2 percentage points year on year. With its high cost performance and quick response ability, Visionox rose from second supply to main supply in some models in the middle and high-end market; Tianma (Tianma) AMOLED smartphone panel shipments increased 5.9% year over year, up 17.6% year on month, and market share 10.9%, down 0.3 percentage points year on year.
