From September 2 to 4, local time, the 7th International Telecommunication Union World Telecommunication/ICT Policy Forum was held in Nassau, Bahamas. The Chinese delegation said that emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and satellite internet are rapidly reshaping the global digital economy. The vast majority of developing countries still face many constraints in technology acquisition, innovation and entrepreneurship, and transformation of achievements. Bridging the digital and smart divide is a matter for the common welfare of all humankind. China is ready to join hands with the international community so that the results of digital development can benefit the peoples of all countries. The first is to seek an inclusive digital future. Strengthen the interface between digital development strategies and promote the spread of infrastructure coverage and services such as 5G/6G, computing power facilities, cross-border sea-land cables, and satellite internet. The second is to jointly build an innovation-driven digital future. Promote the global flow of innovation resources, encourage open access to emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, and increase support for developing countries in standard-setting and capacity building. The third is to share an open and fair digital future. Support the ITU to better play its role as a specialized agency of the United Nations, build an open and inclusive cooperation platform, lower the threshold for technology application, and make the dividends of digital development benefit everyone.
