On September 3, the 4th Zero Carbon Collaborative Innovation Conference was successfully held on the shores of Longhu Lake in Tianfu New Area, Sichuan. At the meeting, the “Sustainable Lithium Battery Industry Working Group” led by Tianqi Lithium and covering the entire value chain of lithium batteries was officially launched. This is the first ESG and sustainable development industry collaboration mechanism covering the entire upstream, middle and downstream chain in China's lithium battery industry. The working group will focus on the four major directions of mutual recognition of EU new battery regulations and battery passport technical specifications, construction of local carbon footprint data, reliable supply chain traceability and safety data collaboration, industry sustainable narratives and international cooperation. It is committed to reducing repeated audits and repeated construction and enhancing global participation in China's lithium battery industry. Tianqi Lithium will be the first rotating chairman. At present, the working group has gathered 23 representative companies in the entire lithium battery value chain, including BYD, Ganfeng Lithium, Grimmie, Guoxuan Hi-Tech, Haichen Energy Storage, Shengxin Lithium Energy, Sichuan Power, Tianneng Group, Tianqi Lithium, Minmetals New Energy, Xiaomi Group, Sunwoda, Yahua Group, and Zijin Mining, etc., and will successively produce and publish industry consensus guidelines and manuals, etc., to systematically present the contribution of China's lithium battery industry to the global green transformation.
