EQT to Acquire Majority Stake in Reinsurance Broker McGill and Partners for $2 Billion

07:59 AM EDT, 09/04/2026 (MT Newswires) -- EQT's (EQT.ST) EQT X agreed to acquire Warburg Pincus' majority stake in specialty insurance and reinsurance broker McGill and Partners for $2 billion. The target company's founders and management team will reinvest to retain a "meaningful" stake, the Swedish private equity company said Friday. Subject to customary conditions and approvals, the deal is expected to close during the first half of 2027.
