The Zhitong Finance App learned that Jiantao Laminated Board (01888) rose by more than 4%. As of press release, it had risen 4.2% to HK$45.64, with a turnover of HK$1,888 billion.

According to the news, at the end of last month, Jiantao Laminated Board issued a notice stating that it will implement price adjustments for its products such as copper-clad sheets and electronic cloth. The price of all FR-4 copper-clad sheets with a uniform thickness of 10% will increase, the price of thick cloth above 7628 (inclusive) will increase by 10%, and the price of thin cloth below 7628 will increase by 20%. This is the seventh time since 2026 that Jiantao Laminate has announced a price increase. Citi expects that in early October, Jiantao Laminate will raise the price of copper clad board again to pass on costs and reaffirm the “buy” rating. The target price is HK$95.

It is worth mentioning that continued price increases have had an immediate impact on the performance of Jiantao laminates. In the first half of this year, the company achieved operating income of HK$14.904 billion, an increase of 55% over the previous year; net profit to mother was HK$2,887 million, an increase of 209 percent over the previous year. Furthermore, the company's monthly profit in July 2026 was approximately HK$1.1 billion, a record high in a single month since the Group set records. Management anticipates that the shortage of supply in the copper-clad panel industry will be difficult to ease in the short term, and the industry will continue to be in an upward cycle.
