The Cambodian government said that after more than a year of continuous crackdown, large-scale electronic fraud centers in the country have been basically eliminated, but e-fraud activities are shifting to smaller, more hidden, and more scattered places such as rental houses, apartments, residential houses, and coffee shops. From August 29 to 30, police launched an operation against suspected internet fraud sites in the Qixinghai area of Kirishago County of the Communist Province. A total of 34 people were arrested, including 33 Chinese nationals and 1 Cambodian woman. Police seized 746 mobile phones, 33 laptop computers, 34 all-in-one computers, 2 computer consoles and 2 monitors at the scene. The suspect and related evidence have been handed over to the police department of the Principality, and the case is being further investigated.
