According to data released by international market service agency Kepler today, the number of ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz region on August 31 did not change much compared to last weekend. It remained around 5, below the “average value of the past 10 days” of about 14 ships. There were no oil tankers among these 5 ships, and 4 entered the strait. Of these, 1 was an empty small gas carrier, and the other 3 were fully loaded dry bulk carriers. Transit vessels without transponders are not included in the statistics. US President Trump also told the media on the afternoon of August 31 EST, “The situation in the Strait of Hormuz is very good. We have taken over... many ships passed through last night.”
