The China Electric Power Enterprise Federation announced a summary of national electricity market transactions from January to July 2026. From January to July 2026, electricity trading centers across the country organized a total of 4425.2 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity transactions in the market, an increase of 23.4% over the previous year. The total amount of electricity traded in the province was 3462.6 billion kilowatt-hours, of which 2853.6 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity were traded in the medium to long term, 445.2 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity spot transactions, and 163.8 billion kilowatt-hours of power generation contracts. The total amount of electricity traded between provinces was 962.6 billion kilowatt-hours, including medium- to long-term electricity transactions of 914.6 billion kilowatt-hours, spot electricity transactions of 44.6 billion kilowatt-hours, and power generation contract transfer transactions of 3.34 billion kilowatt-hours.
