The closure is expected to take place on March 1, 2027, affecting 450 employees, according to a Monday release. The carmaker plans to manage the process in close dialogue with employees and employee representatives. The move is aimed at simplifying business and reducing complexity, which would result in cost efficiencies, Volvo Cars noted.
