India's National Investment and Infrastructure Fund announced that it has raised 2 billion US dollars in the first round of closing of its latest infrastructure fund, and plans to raise another 1.2 billion US dollars within 18 months to reach a total target of 3.2 billion US dollars. Vinod Giri, managing partner of the infrastructure fund, said it is expected to receive about 600 million US dollars in additional capital from investors in Japan, South Korea, Australia and Europe. India's National Investment and Infrastructure Fund is expected to invest “large sums” in the data center sector in the coming months, while laying out energy, transportation, urban infrastructure, and electric mobility tracks.
