After the landslide disaster occurred in Jilong County, Shigatse City, Tibet, roads were damaged, electricity was paralyzed, and communications were interrupted. The Ministry of Emergency Management, together with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, immediately dispatched 3 Pterosaur drones to the disaster area to continue carrying out tasks such as emergency command, communication support, and disaster investigation. As of 12:00 on August 31, the Pterosaur drone had flown more than 130 hours and guaranteed more than 3,900 calls. During the operation, Pterosaur drone operation support was strengthened, and the flight team overcame multiple harsh environmental effects such as high altitudes and low temperatures, turbulent flow in canyons, and variable weather, and adopted tactical tactics of “remote take-off and landing”, “long-range large-scale transfer” and “dual-plane flight in the same area” to achieve rapid positioning and multi-aircraft collaborative support, and continuously establish a “lifeline” for emergency communication in the affected area. At the same time, disaster investigation continues to be carried out to provide support for risk assessment and command decision-making.
