Samsung Biologics Launches CHF1.5 Billion Offer for PolyPeptide Group

02:34 AM EDT, 08/31/2026 (MT Newswires) -- South Korea-listed Samsung Biologics on Monday released an official offer document for its planned acquisition of Swiss contract drugmaker PolyPeptide Group (PPGN.SW). Samsung Biologics, through its Swiss subsidiary Samsung Peptide, is offering 44.31 francs per PolyPeptide share in cash, valuing the target company at 1.46 billion francs. The PolyPeptide board and its largest shareholder, Draupnir Holding, with a 55.65% stake, are backing the offer. The main offer period runs from Sept. 15 through Oct. 12. Following the settlement of the offer, Samsung Peptide plans to acquire the remaining shares in PolyPeptide and seek its delisting from the SIX Swiss Exchange. The deal remains subject to a minimum acceptance threshold of 66.67% and regulatory clearances, among other conditions.
