According to Korean media reports, Samsung Electronics is cooperating with Nvidia's requirements to develop an 8-layer, seventh-generation high-bandwidth memory, which is significantly lower than the original 12-layer and 16-layer solutions. The speed specification proposed by Nvidia is 17-18 Gbps, which is about 20% higher than Samsung's initial HBM4E 14.4 Gbps sample speed. It is reported that this product will be used for NVHBM.
