First Finance learned from the Shanghai Intellectual Property Office that by the end of June 2026, the number of high-value invention patents per 10,000 population in the city was 67.6, up 9.0% year on year; the number of effective invention patents was 337,000, up 14.7% year on year; the number of effective trademark registrations was 2.95 million, up 5.2% year on year; and the number of patent license transfers was 24,500, up 28.3% year on year.
