Workday: Fiscal Q2 Earnings Snapshot

The Pleasanton, California-based company said it had profit of $2.57 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $2.75 per share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 11 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.62 per share.

The maker of human resources software posted revenue of $2.65 billion in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Nine analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.63 billion.
