Shimao Services (00873) holding company Shimao Group filed a winding-up petition

Zhitong Finance App News, Shimao Services (00873) announced that on August 27, 2026, the company's holding company Shimao Group Holdings Limited (Shimao Group) received a winding-up petition (liquidation petition) from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region High Court (High Court) from China Trust Co., Ltd. (petitioner). The winding-up petition involved Shimao Group's judgment debts arising from four judgments handed down by mainland China courts, with a total amount of RMB 2,498 billion.

On the date of this announcement, the High Court did not issue a winding-up order to wind up Shimao Group. The filing of a winding-up petition does not mean that the petitioner can successfully wind up Shimao Group. The Board of Directors (Board of Directors) of the Company believes that the winding-up petition will have no significant impact on the financial performance and operations of the Group.
