Zhitong Finance App learned that on August 27, the Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry of Hong Kong, Sun Dong, attended the launch ceremony of the “AI for All” National AI Inclusion Program: AI with HKPC empowering SMEs to upgrade their business and stated that under the “AI for All” plan, the Productivity Council will focus on practical improvement, focus on supporting SMEs and employees, and conduct practical training for their work scenarios.

Since its establishment, the Productivity Council has been committed to helping Hong Kong enterprises make good use of technology to enhance their productivity and competitive advantage. This time, the Productivity Bureau is the third organizer of the “AI for All” program. With its many years of experience in serving enterprises, I believe it can provide accurate and professional support to small and medium-sized enterprises to help them seize the opportunities of the AI era.

For example, recently, a “one-person company” (OPC) has sprung up in response to the development of AI technology, and entrepreneurs need to divide the company into multiple roles. The Productivity Bureau specifically addresses OPC's operational pain points and provides corresponding support to achieve a low-cost, high-productivity operating model.

Sun Dong said that AI (artificial intelligence) has become a core element of global industrial upgrading and driving the development of the digital economy. Currently, more than 90% of enterprises in Hong Kong are SMEs. They are the most important part of Hong Kong's economic development, so how to help SMEs achieve digital transformation and enhance competitiveness through AI is one of the key directions of the “AI for All” inclusive plan.

He said that Hong Kong is now at a breakthrough in economic transformation and achieving high-quality development, and AI will be the key engine in it. It is hoped that through the “AI for All” program, AI will not only become an empowering tool to enhance corporate value and competitiveness, but will also be transformed into a super dividend for inclusive SMEs and ordinary citizens, making “AI for All” an “upgrade for all, opportunity for all” in Hong Kong.
