02:01 AM EDT, 08/27/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Nicox (ALCOX.PA) said Thursday the Food and Drug Administration accepted the new drug application for its glaucoma treatment NCX 470 and set April 30, 2027, as the target date for completing its review. The application, submitted by the ophthalmology company's US licensee Kowa Pharmaceuticals America in June, seeks approval of NCX 470 for lowering intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. Nicox will receive a milestone payment if the drug is approved, as well as royalties on future sales. A US launch is targeted for the second half of 2027, subject to approval.
