South Korea's Hyundai Motor Company said on Wednesday that it plans to expand global production capacity by 1.27 million vehicles from the current 5 million vehicles and launch more than 100 new or updated models to enhance its competitiveness in the global market by 2030. The targets include increasing production capacity by 500,000 vehicles in North America, 320,000 vehicles in India, and 200,000 vehicles in South Korea. Another 250,000 vehicles will be produced through a full component assembly model. The company maintained its previously announced sales targets, including reaching 5.55 million units worldwide by 2030, and increasing the share of pure electric vehicles in total global sales to 60% in the same year.
