According to research agency Jibang Consulting, memory prices will account for a larger share of cloud service providers' AI infrastructure budgets in 2027, and DRAM and NAND flash memory are expected to account for 68% of total capital expenses, up from 47% in 2026. Server DRAM prices are expected to rise by about 270% in 2026, and the price increase of enterprise-grade storage products can reach 235%, continuing the price increase that began in the second half of 2025. According to Jibang Consulting, higher memory costs, especially high-bandwidth memory, may cause AI chip and server manufacturers to further raise product prices, forcing cloud service providers to either increase investment or optimize system memory configurations to control costs.
