06:34 AM EDT, 08/25/2026 (MT Newswires) -- BofA Global Research affirmed its investment opinion on Infineon Technologies (IFX.F), saying its acquisition of C2i Semiconductors positions the German chipmaker to tap into a $15.9 billion artificial intelligence analog power integrated circuit market by 2030. "We view the deal as strategically important despite limited near-term financial impact. C2i adds capabilities in digital power control, vertical power delivery (VPD) and future Substrate Integrated Voltage Regulators (SIVR), complementing IFX's leadership across [silicon, silicon carbide and gallium nitride] power semiconductors. The acquisition reinforces our positive long-term view on IFX's ability to increase content per AI rack and strengthen its position across [next-generation] DC power architectures," the research firm said Tuesday. As such, analysts reiterated their buy rating and price objective of 108 euros on the stock. "Strategically, the acquisition moves IFX into a larger market historically dominated by MPS, Renesas, Texas Instruments, Analog Devices and Empower Semiconductor, where value increasingly resides in the analog control layer between the power source and the GPU. The acquisition strengthens its ability to capture a greater share of AI datacentre content," BofA added.
